This was originally written as advice to PR/Marketing majors at the University of Texas in response to the question, “How has PR helped you branch out into other fields you are interested in?”

A good PR campaign will allow you to do anything you want to do with a minimal investment. Given I have such a large following online, I am able to easily find and put together teams that allow me to quickly follow through on ideas that I want to implement. I have never paid for advertising in the five years I have been in business, but solely rely on our PR efforts to get write-ups in local, regional and national publications. I have been quoted and referenced in all three many times over and consider those PR opportunities worth thousands upon thousands of dollars. I paid nothing. I offer this same value to my clients’ campaigns.
